The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has taken significant steps to enhance the operational capacity and efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force. On June 19th, 2025, the IGP commissioned a state-of-the-art Police Mechanical Workshop and 40 tactical and operational vehicles, including anti-riot water cannon trucks and Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs).
The Police Mechanical Workshop is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and technology to ensure optimal working conditions of operational vehicles.
The commissioned vehicles will boost the Force’s operational efficiency and response to security threats.
The IGP warns individuals and groups threatening the peace and tranquility of the country that the Nigeria Police Force will take proactive and swift action against them.
